Smith Mountain Lake (June 13th - 20th)

We started our summer with a bang! A couple days after school was out, we packed up and headed to Smith Mountain Lake in Roanoke, VA. We stayed at Todd's Aunt Sandy's beautiful lake house.

There are so many things to love about this home - first, plenty of space for multiple families. Second, great yard for kids to run around in and burn off excess energy. Third, has a small, private, sandy beach area for the kids to play/swim - not something you usually see on a lake property. We had such a fabulous vacation.

The first half of the week, both of my sisters, my mom and my aunt all came down. My sister, Ashley, will no longer be working for Todd so she was training Suzie and Todd on all her functions. They trained for half the time and then got to play with the rest of us. We swam, boated and blew lots of bubbles! Check out more info and pics of my family here and here.

Everyone took a turn on the hotdog, and I mean EVERYONE! I had to close my eyes when my little 2 year old was out there, I was a nervous wreck (he loved it though):

Todd's dad even decided to buy a new boat - WOOT! We had such a relaxing and fun trip. Great way to kick off our summer!
