We went to the Barnum and Bailey Circus with good friends. The company my friend works for has a suite at the Verizon Center (where the circus was) and she was able to get tickets for all of us. We watched the circus from the comforts of our suite which included a private bathroom (great when taking 7 kids to the circus) and I don't know how else I could have taken my little two year old without going crazy. He was able to walk/climb around the suite at his own pleasure and I didn't have to worry about him bothering anyone else. It was so FUN!
We also took our first trip to the children's museum, Port Discovery. The kids had a great time, exploring, playing, pretending and creating. We will definitely go back (just NOT on a Saturday).
We took the Metro down and back which was almost as exciting as the museum for the boys. They kept squealing every time we went underground - it was obviously their first time on the metro and all the other passengers were very nice and patient with all the noise those two boys brought to the normally quiet ride. The boys totally sacked out on the way home - must have been a good day!
