This is the year of BIG birthdays for us. Leah turned 8. In our church, when a child turns eight, they are at the age of accountability and are able to get baptized. My family came up for the weekend and Todd's parents came over for the day. She was so lucky to have so many dear family members and friends supporting her. It was a very special day for our family and we are very proud of her for making the decision to be baptized. We look forward to supporting her as she goes forward from here.

Right before the baptism, we had a little family party to celebrate her birthday.

Here are just a few of my FAVORITE things about Leah:

She is a funny, funny girl. She definitely has her dad's quick wit.
She is very athletic - her favorites are soccer, tennis, and acro (which is a dance/gymnastics combo). She is quite coordinated and athletics come very easily to her.
She is a hard worker - any time I ask she is up for helping me, even when it is hard, I love having her helping hands around.

We sure love our "little Leah" (who is not so little anymore)!!

It was a happy day!
