Double Whammy

Dec 1st was a big day at the Benner House...our youngest little guy got his first set of stitches (4 stitches) by running down the hall, tripping, and splitting his forehead on a bench in our kitchen. Once we returned home from getting the stitches he said, "Mom, is it bedtime, I is exhausted!" What a little trooper!

Then a mere 45 days later, we had round #2 of stitches. This time it was Nicholas...I guess we our working our way up from youngest to oldest. The boys were playing "Tarzan" using a makeshift vine tied to our banister. They weren't actually swinging off the floor, but in the process of pretend swinging, this little guy knocked a picture off the wall from the landing above him and it came down on his forehead. I was out with one of my daughters when it happened and when I got home and looked at the "vine" and said to my husband, "this doesn't look like a child tied it to the banister." He hung his head in shame and said "I was involved, I saw Afton and Nick trying to tie it and I wanted to make it safer." I am thinking that did not work out for him!!! Nick was a total champ getting his 5 stitches.
