As many of you know, Nicholas was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a year and a half ago, when he was 3 years old. He is an amazing little boy and is an example to all of us on how to roll with lifes little bumps. He receives 4 insulin injections a day, checks his blood sugar 7 - 8 times daily, and follows a special diet...he rarely complains. Our family decided to participate in this walk to support any advancements that can be made in finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
